What is a good home remedy for curing cold sores??
I know abreva works wonders, but until i can get out to buy it. What are some home remedies?
Also i did some reasearch and know that there is no “CURE”, and most people who have cold sores get the infection before the age of 10. I’m just looking for a way to make them go down. They look Ugly!!!

there is no home remedy. Cold sores are caused by a virus and should only be treated by antivirals. Try abreva or zovirax
Pour salt on it. If you have access to Vitamin C and Vitamin E, take a vitamin C tablet and crush it up and put it on it. Then rinse it off after about 20 to 30 seconds. Poke a hole in the vitamin E capsule and squeeze it on the cold sore, then rinse off. If you do that about 3 times a day for a couple days, it will be gone faster than Abreva.
When you first get it, try putting perfume on it. The alcohol helps to dry those bad boys out. Be careful not to over do it because you’ll get a red mark. Also tea tree oil works well. The oil helps to prevent over drying. And DON’T pick it or else the scab will last longer then the stupid cold sore.
I know they’re a pain in the a**. These things work for me, so I hope it’ll help you out.
I am not sure if cold sores are the same as fever blisters, but I have put ear wax on mine. If you catch it really early, and put ear wax on it, it will not come out at all. I have not had one in forever. I told my nephew to do the same because he kept them. He hasn’t had one in a long, long time. I know it’s gross, but if it will cure it… Hope this helps.
eat regular yogurt if you feel one coming on, or at the first sign of one, the calcium will help the outbreak be minimal. if you eat yogurt regularly, they shouldent even appear anymore.
