Q&A: I popped my cold sore. How do I prevent it from coming back over night?

I popped my cold sore. How do I prevent it from coming back over night?
I know, I know. “DON’T POP YOUR COLD SORES!”

But I had to take a group photo for drama club today, so I had to look my best. lol.

Usually, if I have cold sores, I put this chapstick called “HerpicinL” that can stop them from “growing” before the head shows up within 2 days max. But I lost my chapstick, so I had to wait for the head to show up to pop it.

I’m afraid it will come back over night. I don’t have any peroxide, so please don’t mention that one. I have drama rehearsal tomorrow, too. Which is why I don’t want it coming back. (I know, ona Saturday, for goodness sakes. lol)

Put on Neosporin before you go to bed. Then (I know this is a hassle) get up at 3 AM and re apply it, but this time with Vaseline added. Just be sure not to put on Chapstick, because that adds moisture when you want to dry it out. This works! P.S. Do you have any other type of cream or pill treatment available? Put those on on top of the others if so. Too much is never too much!!
