Does someone taking Valtrex automatically have the “STD” herpes?
Hi, im sixteen and my girlfriend had a “cold sore” about a year ago on the corner of her mouth (before i met her). Everyone at school said it was herpes (she was Very sexually active) but she insisted that it was a cold sore soon to go away. Within a month or two it did; it is now 8 months later from her last “cold sore” and her and me have a thing she got another one just about five days ago, she kissed me the second day she had it unexpectedly, and then the third day it popped and was an open wound (it’s not as bad looking as im making it sound though; haha) - but she went to the doctors and i asked her what the doctor said and she said he gave her a pill to help it; later that day when she was in the kitchen i went into the medicine cabinet and found a prescription for valtrex sitting up there all nicely typed in her name.
Is it Most Definitely the STD Oral Herpes? and is there any chance I can have it? We just kissed real quick and i kissed the other corner of her mouth; haha - but i made out with her numerous times before she broke out.

THERE ARE SEVERAL TYPES OF THE HERPES VIRUS AND VALTREX IS USED TO TREAT MANY VIRAL INFECTIONS. AND YES IT IS CONTAGIOUS. SO WHEN ANYONE HAS A COLD SORE. DO NOT KISS THEM
