Did he give me a cold sore?
I kissed this guy the other day and I woke up with a huge cold sore two days later. He didn’t have a cold sore and, all we did was kiss. Does that mean he has Herpes? Should I say something like “Hey, thanks for the cold sore?”. Haha but really now I have to look nasty becuase of him.

Cold sores ARE a type of herpes, i’m sorry but you will probably have those for the rest of your life, they go away for some time and they flare up again.
Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus, and they’re contagious.
I would go to dr. and get checked out for Herpes sounds like it may be…
yea kissing does spread them, and they are a form of herpes…but use blistex it will help make it go away

Suggest you visit your doctor to confirm the diagnosis. If it is a cold sore and you get another soon after this one, talk to your doctor about zovirax. Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus which lies dormant in the body and becomes active when the sufferer gets run down. Sunlight and extreme cold can trigger attacks, esp. if you are overtired and/or have not been eating a balanced healthy diet. I have suffered with this since my teens - I have never worked out how I first caught it - but I find Zovirax (200mg daily, prescribed by my GP) prevents outbreaks during the colder winter and hotter summer months. Having caught it as easily as you did, it is possible that you could pass on the virus to anyone you kiss within five days of having an outbreak; I believe the virus can also be passed on thru’ oral sex and manifest as genital herpes, but you may want to check that out with your doctor. Look after yourself and good luck.
