cold sores?
what’s a good way to get rid of cold sores? (these things freaking hurt…) like without all of that medcince, cuz i can’t go to the store…are there some home remedies? some tips? thnx guys

Herpes… No. Nothing works. I once went an entire year with a “cold” sore (HERPES) and I tried everything. You just have to start living a healthy lifestyle and build up your immune system. Oh, and don’t spread it when its flaired and add to the epidemic. It was hard not to kiss someone for over a year.
Well, what I do is, i get together:
Ice
Nail Polish Remover
A q-tip
L-Lysine Tablets
and Abreva if you have it.
Ice the cold-sore as SOON as you feel it coming on (or if you are unlucky like me and get them only when you are sleeping, do it as soon as you wake up), and ice it for 20 minutes or as long as you can stand.
When you are done icing, dab it dry (be gentle!)
Take the q-tip that is dipped in nail polish remover (or rubbing alcohol if you can’t bring yourself to use NPR) and put it right on the cold-sore. This may sting a bit, but it dries it up and kills bacteria, making it heal faster.
Apply Abreva if you have it.
It also helps to take an L-Lysine supplement. Take like 2000 (yes 2,000) mg (usually about 4) and that will help too.
Repeat this every hour or as often as you can and the cold-sore will be healed in a few days (as opposed to weeks!).
Don’t take more than 2,000 mg of L-Lysine in the day though.
Sadly, there is no way to get rid of them without medicine/creams…
Nothing else works…
I am a make up artist and beauty therapist, the quickest way is to get an ice cube and hold it on the sold sore for about 10 minutes (or as long as you can handle it), use a tea towel so you wont freeze your fingers, it freezes the virus and kills the sore, it works, try it, good luck.
